Frequently asked questions?
Here are some common questions we receive about our kits. For more information, please contact us.
How are RNA Tests different than DNA Tests?
Unlike DNA testing which measures static, inherited genetic information — detecting mutations, variants, and predispositions encoded in a patient's genome that remain constant across all nucleated cells throughout their lifetime, RNA testing, by contrast, measures dynamic gene expression — capturing which genes are currently active and how the cell is functioning right now, reflecting real-time responses to disease, treatment, inflammation, or environmental stress, making it particularly monitoring disease progression, and assessing therapy response and resistance
What is Modular Genomics?
Modular genomics is the study groups of genes that are functionally coordinated and regulated together as discrete units — allowing researchers to analyze biological systems at the level of pathways and cellular processes. In autoimmune disease, this framework enables the identification of dysregulated immune gene modules — such as interferon-response, plasmablast, or neutrophil gene signatures — that are aberrantly activated across conditions like lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, or Sjögren's syndrome, facilitating more precise patient stratification, biomarker development, and the targeting of upstream transcriptional regulators that govern pathological immune activation .
How are DxTerity Tests are Developed?
DxTerity has partnered with Biotech and Pharmaceutical Industry participants in autoimmune to identify the emerging biomarkers in therapeutic targeting. Our targeted panel tests seek to establish claims across diagnostic, prognostic and theranostic testing aims. All of our tests are developed with rigorous IVD design controls under ISO13485 guidelines and CAP/CLIA requirements. We are active in a large number of clinical trials using this approach and in active regulatory filings to establish standardized testing in clinical practice.
What is the regulatory and clinical status of these tests?
It is our mission to bring this new class of testing for immune response into clinical practice. We are now delivering the IFN-1 testing in our CLIA licensed laboratory to practicing physicians and academic partners along with our clinical trial partners. We have a pipeline of claims emerging looking at B-cells, low density granulocyte neutrophils, plasmablast, and other immune and inflammation pathways. Our goal is to submit these applications along with our innovative sample collection techniques for FDA approval as clinical proof emerge,
Can our tests be delivered from home?
DxTerity’s tests are uniquely designed to deliver the high-quality results from both your doctor’s office and from home. It is our goal to ease the patient journey through “from-home” convenience. Our collection kits are easy-to-use for blood sample collection which are being tested extensively in partnership with the Lupus Research Alliance Landmark study to demonstrate clinical utility and use from home. All testing must be ordered through a physician.
Innovation across testing, collection, and product development—engineered for precision, built for scale.
